In Kaunas, in the heart of Lithuania, the MEGA Shopping and Leisure Centre, opened in 2005 and was further expanded in 2016. It is located in an easily accessible location at the junction of two of Lithuania’s most important roads: Vilnius-Klaipėda Highway (A1), and the Via Baltica route (E67). As many as 2.2 million potential visitors can reach this location in one hour. Up to 60,000 cars a day pass by the MEGA site carrying around 50 million passengers a year. The MEGA Shopping and Leisure Centre is located next to the largest residential area in Kaunas, with a population of around 70,000. It is easily accessible from the city centre in just 10 minutes, by car or public transport.

On the completion of the expansion project in December 2016, the retail space of MEGA was increased by more than 40%, totalling 102,000 sqm, with the number of retail tenants increasing to 225. The centre accommodates a wide range of goods and services, from fashion to building materials. Fashion brands featured at the centre include: 4F, ALDO, CROPP, DEICHMANN, ESPRIT, GEOX, H&M, LINDEX, MASSIMO DUTTI, MOHITO, NEW YORKER, PEEK&CLOPPENBURG, PIERRE CARDIN, RESERVED, SINSAY, SKECHERS, SPORTLAND, TOMMY HILFIGER, and THE UNITED COLORS OF BENETTON.

MEGA also boasts a unique space for children – the largest in Lithuania – with a 1,500 sqm next generation children’s educational entertainment centre, developed using a play-based learning concept.  CurioCity is a city for curious children, where they can learn through play – the centre offers active and inventive activities in 12 themed spaces that represent the real world. MEGA also includes VS – FITNESS – the largest sports and fitness centre in the Baltics, CINAMON – a modern cinema, STRIKE HOUSE – a bowling and billiard club, ZOOPARK – an interactive zoo, a tube slide, indoor and outdoor children’s playgrounds, a mini train and over 20 restaurants and cafés, that together offer not only commercial opportunities but also a very social environment. It is not just a good place to shop for the whole family, but also somewhere to meet up with friends and have a good time.

The exclusive highlight of MEGA is a marine aquarium. It is more than 10 m high, 4 m wide and 11 m long, and home to more than 30 species of tropical fish and 6 sharks. As the tallest aquarium in the Baltic countries, MEGA Aquarium is one of the most impressive attractions in the country.
